With a contractor for a father, Tracey grew up around construction and the building industry. For as long as she can remember, she was interested in houses; as a child she spent hours drawing pictures of them. Tracey got her bachelor's degree in environmental design from NC State and after a three year architecture internship in Charlotte, she attended UNC-Charlotte and received her bachelor's degree in architecture. Building things is in Scott’s blood. His grandfather owned a hardware store and as a child Scott was always building furniture or doing some sort of hands-on craft work. Throughout Scott’s adolescence and young adult years, he continued working with his hands and eventually this skill turned into a way for him to make a living.
